WHAT IS CONDENSED NATURAL SMOKE


The process we use to naturally refine sawdust, recycled from lumber mills, into purified, concentrated smoke is an efficient, and environmentally responsible, use of forest byproducts.

Our proprietary process is completely chemical free. We use only heat, water and filtration. No chemicals are ever used. Heat. Water. Filtration. It’s simple and 100% natural.

We begin with sawdust that we carefully dry to optimal moisture levels required to achieve the greatest efficiencies in terms of energy use and raw material consumption. Instead of fossil fuels, we burn the tar, charcoal and ash filtered out during the production of Condensed Natural Smoke™ . These otherwise harmful components become a safe, environmentally-friendly, energy-saving fuel.

As the smoke is generated, water is sprayed into the smoke. The healthy and flavorful parts of the smoke are water-soluble. The unhealthy carcinogenic chemical compounds known as PAH’s and other impurities are not water-soluble. The undesirable components settle out of the water-soluble smoke. These unhealthy components are then filtered and removed. Our natural process yields only the natural, healthy, flavor-rich smoke elements in liquid form.

After five phases of separation and filtration and six stringent quality control steps, the naturally refined, purified smoke condensates are ready for delivery to customers.
